ohh hey as for other game translations, My vote goes to a Menu and item translation for God Eater.

Someone is working on the god eater patch. Check PSPGweber. He hasnt got much, just the npcs so far.

…i have some terrible news to bring, i knew it since this afternoon and i worked on it and worked on it and didn’t post because of the frustration

The text in the game is acting really weird, so i figured i must have made an error somewhere in the offset, i changed everything the way it should and the bug is getting even worse, the text wont even appear in some places, i have to admit that i was a bit careless because of my rush, but to think an error like this would occure

I hate to bring it to you but i think its best if i quit the Birth By Sleep project since im going away on vacation in a week from now, the last BBS0 thats still funcional is the one where i just finished Enchanted Dominion with Terra

Also the suprise was that also Ven was 70% done like some of you guessed, [Terra70% and Ven70%]

I will try to fix this bug in every way i can, but if it wont work, you’ll have to forgive me for quitting the BBS project and starting a new one

Don’t worry about it. You’ve done a lot for everyone. Have fun on your vacation. Maybe I’ll be able to pick up where you left off? I really need to get to understanding how to work with the scripts and whatnot.

why don’t you just release that? no problem for me if it’s not complete

Phil: You don’t HAVE to get rid of your work, just take some time in your days to fix the bug. If you’d want, you could try and give someone your progress so it isn’t put to waste. Just think that, one day, before the English version of BbS comes out, you and your brother will be able to play the ISO because a fan/follower completed/fixed your work!!

Simpatico, you don’t get it, there’s a bug that has effect over the whole game, in some places you dont see text, sometimes you just see ”e” when someone says a full line

Even if you don’t get it all the way done could you still release what you have so far? It’s way better than nothing you’re almost done anyway, so it’s not that big a deal if you don’t finish. Have you translated Last Episode yet, or was that going to be the final part?

Next time, try to not promise anything. Good effort though.

oh you made a byte error maybe..if that’s the case you can still fix it just compare the working bbs0 to your bbs0-modified but that’s a tough one(debugging is a way to hard than translating .. i swear).. and try to insert some byte or delete if you find where the correct offset (maybe,.. i don’t think so cause i encounter it many times when translating the tales of the world rm2)

13Philip13, I am not criticizing you! I read everything, and I’ve been following your work since the beginning. What I mean is, if you found an error, or you screwed up, there’s nothing like taking a 1-day break. Stuff that seem impossible now might seem so doable tomorrow!

And Kenma looks like he can help you, well talk to him and let him help you.

Just remember, never give up, ever. I don’t have programming experience so I can’t help you, but I think moral support is always welcome!

”fixed” the bug, with the help of ”Truthkey” but to do this i need some steps back, so now im continuing from Terra-Radiant Garden [No Ven yet] its the best i can make of it and i’ll try to do it as fast as i can

what a relief.. i don’t think you should rush your project philip, you might end up having those bug problems again. i’m not telling you what to do or anything, it’s just an advice.

I’m sure you know this.. but games that are GOING to be localized should not be translated… the first reason being that usually, a official translation WILL come out, usually within a year(I’m sure that translating completely testing, etc.. will take about the same amount of time, unless you put extreme effort, like 5 hours every day)
Second, games that are NOT going to be localized are NEVER going to be in English, meaning that you don’t have to do it faster than a official translation, while people that cannot speak/read Japanese will be able to play it.
